Columns that belong in the Excel sheet

Keep one sheet per batch per month (Class 10 Evening — September). Mixing two timings on one grid is how you mark the wrong child.

Roll / #	Fast calling in class — 1, 2, 3, not “third bench”
Student name	Full name as on the fee receipt
Days 1–28/29/30/31	One cell per calendar day of that month
P / A / L	Present, Absent, Late — pick one legend and stick to it
Header: institute + batch + month	So a printed page is useless without that line

Optional on paper: parent phone, teacher sign at the bottom. Do not put monthly fee in this sheet. Fees belong in the fee register — mixing them starts “he was absent so why full fee?” fights with no ledger.

How to fill it in 30 seconds

Call roll in class order.
Mark P or A the same day — not on Sunday from memory.
Leave Sundays blank or shaded if you do not run class.
If a child is absent two days in a row, message the parent that evening — the sheet is proof, WhatsApp is the action.

Excel vs the phone app (use both if you want)

Excel / print is for a file in the drawer, a substitute teacher, or a parent who wants a photocopy. One batch name in Excel, Students, and Attendance. If the sheet says “10th 6pm” and the app says “Class 10 Evening”, you will lose a week of marks. Same naming as multiple batches 2026.

Not a GST invoice or fee receipt — use the receipt generator or in-app PDF after mark paid.

Can I use it for dance, music, or yoga batches?

Yes. Put the batch name in the header (Kids Bharatanatyam Saturday). Same roll + day grid.

Do I have to keep Excel after I use TutorPe?

No. Many centres print the first month for habit, then mark attendance in the app. Keep Excel only if you need a paper file.
